La mission de CIM

Depuis 1988, il existe à Rawdon un Centre d’interprétation multiethnique, ou CIM, une organisation sans but lucratif qui témoigne de la riche histoire de la localité et les origines variées de ses résidents. Les différents groupes ethniques de la municipalité se sont associés pour mettre en valeur le patrimoine culturel et les traditions de leurs ancêtres. Le CIM organise régulièrement des expositions artistiques et thématiques. L’association organise également des soirées amicales et musicales et c’est un véritable lieu de rencontre des cultures dans la région de Lanaudière.

Le CIM a maintenant un site internet www.cimrawdon.info. Le site est présentement en développement et nous apprécierions recevoir vos commentaires et vos suggestions afin que ce site vous permettre de profiter d’une utilisation maximale de nos espaces et de vous tenir informer sur nos diverses activités.

The Mission of CIM

The Rawdon Multiethnic Center is  a non profit organization which exists as a witness to the rich history of the locality and the varied  origins of its residents. In 1988 the different ethnic groups of the municipality came together to promote the cultural heritage and traditions of their ancestors. CIM regularly organizes concerts, dinners, art exhibitions and social events, and is a true crossroads – a forum and place to meet, exchange ideas and opinions, and offer mutual assistance.

CIM now has a web site, www.cimrawdon.info. The site is under construction, and there will be incomplete pages and other glitches. Thank you for your understanding, and please give us your ideas, comments and above all, suggestions to help make this site and CIM a better and more creative place.

The purpose of www.cimrawdon.info

With this site we hope to facilitate your contact with us, to make better use of our facilities and to better inform you of our programs. I have met many people who have lived in Rawdon for years and have no idea what we are, that we are an art gallery too for instance, or that we have dinners and concerts open to all. Did you know that you can take music lessons at CIM, or that we have a very good grand piano that might be available for you to play publicly or privately?
